Who processes your data

What we collect through our forms

There are seven forms on this website: booking a small or large tasting, and enquiries about weddings, venue hire, corporate events, corporate wine and general questions. In all of them we ask for your name, email, phone and a message, and in some also for a date, number of people, company or number of bottles. We never require more than we need to get back to you.

• Purpose: handling your enquiry and communicating about it
• Legal basis: steps taken prior to entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering your question
• Retention: three years from our last communication, after which the record is deleted
• Where it is stored: in the website database on Railway servers in the European Union

We also forward each enquiry to ourselves by email so we do not miss it. We do not share its content with anyone else and do not use it to send you offers unless you explicitly ask us to. The only exception is the ad matching described below, and only with your consent.

Matching enquiries with advertising

If you have allowed marketing cookies in the cookie banner, after you send a form we pass your email and phone number to advertising platforms in an irreversibly encoded form, a so-called hash (SHA-256). The original data cannot be read from it. The advertising platform only compares it with its own users to tell whether the enquiry came from its ad.

• Purpose: measuring whether our advertising is worth it
• Legal basis: your consent to marketing cookies. You can withdraw it at any time in the cookie banner; withdrawal applies from then on
• Recipients: Google Ireland Limited (Google Ads, Google Analytics), Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Facebook, Instagram) and Seznam.cz, a.s. (Sklik)
• What we do not send: your name, address or the text of your message

Without your consent, none of this is sent.

Measuring traffic

The website measures how it is used so that we know what people are missing. Analytics and marketing tools only start once you give your consent in the cookie banner. Until then, none of them runs.

• Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, operated by Google Ireland Limited
• Meta Pixel, operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited
• Sklik, operated by Seznam.cz, a.s.
• Microsoft Clarity, operated by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited. Besides statistics, Clarity records the course of your visit, i.e. mouse movement and scrolling. The content of form fields is always masked in the recording.
• Hotjar, operated by Hotjar Ltd. Like Clarity, it records the course of your visit and builds click maps from it.
• OptiMonk, operated by OptiMonk International Zrt. It shows pop-up windows, for example with news, and remembers which ones you have already seen.
• Ecomail, operated by Ecomail.cz s.r.o. It links your website visit with our email newsletter if you subscribe to it.

Google, Meta and Microsoft may also process data outside the European Union. Such transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object to it and request it in a machine-readable format. Just write to [email protected] and we will reply within thirty days.

Buying wine in our e-shop

Orders are handled by our e-shop at eshop.stary-vrch.cz, which is in Czech and has its own terms and conditions. This website does not process order data.
